Members of OSG Systems team have attended a five day intensive training in Fibre Optic technology. Daniel Bosano, manager, and systems operator Nathan Yome undertook the course in fibre optic transmission to enhance their knowledge and work safely with fibre optic cabling.
The course syllabus included basic installation practices, ﬁbre optic connectorisation, splicing ﬁbre optic cables, external enclosures, and the practical skills required to terminate and test ﬁbre optic cabling. The course also focused on the components, equipment and working practices that are typically used in the industry for both premises cabling systems and for ﬁbre optic cabling installed in an external communications environment.
Both Daniel and Nathan completed and obtained City and Guilds Level 2 in Fibre Optic Cabling in an internal and external environment and are know well placed to provide this service to organisations across Gibraltar.
